Role

As part of the Neosperience design team, I focus on the user experience phase, from workshops, personas, content audit, information architecture, wireframe, prototyping and development team support.

The opportunity

How to play their strenghts

Through research and collaborative workshop sessions, we were able to uncover the strengths of the brand and find new opportunities in a market full of larger players. These opportunities include being part of a larger group so have an expanded area of expertise and services and focusing on catering to "mortgage beginners" as our target users.

The key

Finding insights

On one hand, with our target in mind, we continue to get deep into our user understanding. Who are they? What are their goals? What are their fears? and what's their current journey like. We recruited our users by using interviews, forums and the company's established expertise.

Key insights

Young users find it challenging to find the right property.

Most users have only basic knowledge about mortgages and are somewhat apprehensive about the process and its associated bureaucracy.

Some users would want to talk with a consultant before taking any steps, so it is important to maintain the human touch but just when the person already has the knowledge in the area.

How we did it

Following the flow

At this point, I concentrated on understanding and organizing all the information and services that the company offers, which was a huge amount of work. There was a lot of information, useful for sure! but really a lot, so I  made a UX Audit, in other words, I went through the platform to spot what parts should be changed or enhanced, I also categorized everything and divided it into areas of interest: company, help resources, and the last one knowledge.

User flow

With all this information, I moved on to designing our user flow. I structured a simple, empathic experience that provides users the knowledge to understand and select the best financial product, using dedicated training paths tailored to their expertise, profile, motivation, and goals.

Information architecture

Next, we translated this into a content map, maintaining the three main categories of information identified during the UX audit and focusing on the key points found in the user flow. To achieve this, I created various widgets placed strategically on the site to assist and guide users at the moments they need it most.

Bringing the vision to life:
Crafting an empathic user experience through detailed wireframing

Building on the content map, I then proceeded to wireframe the entire website, ensuring that every element and interaction was optimized for a seamless user experience. This step was crucial for visualizing the site’s structure and functionality, allowing us to refine the layout and flow before moving into the full design phase.

The UI implementation brings the entire experience to life. Each design element enhances the user experience, ensuring that every interaction is smooth and engaging. Prototyping allowed us to fine-tune the details, resulting in a visually appealing and highly functional product.
